Dom Vicente - Partnerships of excellence

When we were presented with the opportunity to work with the Horeca channel, one of our weaknesses was that we didn't have a wine producer partner from the Dão region. This region boasts enormous variety, history, and wine quality, and we wouldn't be doing a good job by excluding it.

A trusted person in the wine industry, who is also our current partner, suggested Dom Vicente wines as a project that suited our profile, and they were right.

It was a quick and easy process; we looked for information, studied the project and the products, met and spoke with the people. The sales representative, Maria Otilia, has an enormous passion for the project, something that fascinates us. We visited the producer and we were already won over...

Artemis is the company, led by Dr. Vicente, a person we greatly admire, who created Dom Vicente in homage to his grandfather, building a winery, cellar, and space for wine tourism. Part of the vineyard already existed, and more was planted, respecting the existing one, maintaining the olive grove and caring for the ecosystem; the beehives are an example of this.

Here, the Dom Vicente brand solidified its reputation with varied and comprehensive ranges, from rich whites and exquisite single-varietal wines to reds that express the Dão region in every glass.

The opportunity quickly arose to host a wine dinner featuring Dom Vicente wines. It took place at the Bom Papo restaurant in Monte Redondo, and it went exactly as expected – very well!

We only started working with the Dom Vicente brand; Monte da Ria wines from the Algarve region were already available, but at the time we were dedicated to another producer from that region, and in our humble opinion, that's how we would remain in the medium term...

But as with everything, in business too, the landscape changes quickly, and we realized after a short time that it was more than fair to embrace the Algarve project, specifically the Tavira sub-region, with the Monte da Ria and Solar da Ria wines.

It was a short courtship, which was made public and solidified with a wine dinner at our client Restaurante Vintage in Batalha. The wines were well received, as expected.

At the end of 2024, it was the turn of Dona Amélia wines, Dr. Vicente's tribute to his grandmother, Douro wines that surprised us greatly, in a positive way of course, but it is also true that this producer has already given clear proof of his oenological work. Engineer António Narciso deserves congratulations; he only surprises us because he truly deserves credit for his work!

In addition to wines, sparkling wines and olive oil, other new products have been arriving from the Algarve: Monte da Ria Orange Jam (the oranges originate from an estate in Tavira), as well as Carob Liqueur... with the clear conviction that nothing is wasted, they produce increasingly high-quality products that give us pleasure in working with these types of partnerships.

Aside from the quality of the products, we must also point out that the wines are suitable and certified for veganism.
