Color: reddish-violet

Aroma: Intense, they are dominated by red fruits, floral notes (violet) and spices.

Taste: Intense and with a very characteristic profile, it is a persistent wine with a fresh and long finish.

Pairing: Bafarela Reserva is a surprising wine that pairs very well with traditional Portuguese dishes, a variety of meats, cheeses, and flavorful pastas. Try it as an aperitif with aged and spicy cheeses.

Service: It should be opened slightly before consumption to allow it to breathe and develop optimally. Over time, it may create sediment, requiring decanting. Serve between 17ºC and 18ºC.

Conservation: The bottle should be stored lying down in a cool, dry place, away from light.

Winemaking:

The harvest took place in September. Following selective criteria in the vineyard, the grapes were fully destemmed and crushed. After 48 hours of pre-fermentation cold skin contact, fermentation occurred in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with a total maceration of over 40 days, but without excessive extraction. The wine was then transferred to stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation, followed by aging for 10 months in 500-liter French oak barrels of first, second, and third use.
