Quinta da Covela is located in the heart of the Vinho Verde region, in Baião, an amphitheater of privileged natural beauty, in an area that is the birthplace of the iconic Avesso grape variety.

With certified organic production methods, we are recognized for the quality and purity of our white and rosé wines. We work daily to protect biodiversity, with a holistic vision that leads us to embrace organic farming – in the vineyards, but also in our orchards and vegetable gardens – as the natural way to interact with the ecosystem that surrounds us.

For this wine, the harvest was organized by vineyard plots to ensure picking at the right time. Transport in small boxes to avoid crushing. Skin maceration. Gentle pressing.

Spontaneous fermentations in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. Aging on fine lees until bottling. Light filtration before bottling.

Exam Notes

A wine with a citrine color and slight lemon reflections. Elegant aromas, delicate yet complex. Citrus aromas (tangerine and grapefruit) and floral aromas (white flowers) stand out. Aromatic herbs (sage and thyme) are noteworthy, as is a granitic minerality, present in almost all Covela wines. Creamy on the palate, with very fine and well-integrated acidity that gives the wine not only freshness but also a good presence in the mouth. It finishes with a persistent aftertaste. A very coherent and gastronomic profile.
