Messala Alvarinho is produced exclusively from Alvarinho grapes, considered the noblest of the grape varieties in the Vinho Verde Demarcated Region. This wine differs from all other Vinho Verde wines due to its characteristic aroma and flavor, but also because of its full body, higher alcohol content, and good aging potential, thus highlighting the remarkable qualities of the Alvarinho grape variety.

Exam Notes

Color: Clear citrine

Aroma: Intense fruity and floral aroma, with notes of grapefruit.

Taste: Soft, dry and fruity, with the persistence typical of the Alvarinho grape variety.

Pairing: Ideal to accompany fish dishes, seafood and cheeses.

Service: It should be consumed fresh, between 10-12ºC.

Winemaking: The harvest is done manually into boxes with a capacity of 20kg. After complete destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. There, it ages for 3 months, with a further 3 months of aging in the bottle.
