Messala Alvarinho Reserva is produced in the Monção sub-region from the Alvarinho grape variety (100%), showing enormous aging potential in the bottle. The characteristics of the Terroir – soil and climate – determine the character of the vineyard and the wine's profile. It is an Alvarinho born and raised in sunny vineyards that combine the green of the landscape and the consistency of the granitic soil.

Tasting Notes

Simultaneously full-bodied yet fresh, with a long and persistent finish, it is an Alvarinho that invites us to taste the typical aroma of the grape with a slight touch of wood.

Food Pairing: Excellent with fish dishes.

Serving: Should be consumed chilled, between 10-12ºC.

Vinification: Results from the vinification of the grape with skin contact and 12 months aging in French oak barrels on fine lees.

Alcohol Content: 13.50% vol.
