Grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Old Vines.

Winemaker: Alexandra Pinto

Winemaking: Total destemming followed by crushing; cold maceration for 48 hours; fermentation for 6 days in horizontal rotating vats or lagares equipped with a cooling system and fermentation temperature control, followed by post-fermentation maceration for two weeks.

Aging: Twenty-four months in new French oak barrels and six months in bottle.

Exam Notes

Color: Deep purple

Aroma: Very concentrated on the nose, with notes of wood combined with black berries and dark chocolate.

Palate: Balanced on the palate with ripe, velvety tannins, which give it excellent structure and harmony, as well as longevity. Very long and persistent finish.

Pairing: Elaborate red meat dishes, as well as cheese platters.

Serving suggestion: In order to preserve all its characteristics, this wine has not been subjected to any filtration or stabilization process, so the formation of sediment is natural. It should be decanted fifteen minutes before serving, at a temperature of 18ºC.
