The Soalheiro Alvarinho is known as the "Classic" because it was the first wine made by the family in 1982. Since then, it has continued to be our classic style of a monovarietal Alvarinho, with aromatic freshness, intense flavor, and extraordinary aging potential in the bottle - it is a wine that clearly suits any occasion!

Tasting Notes

The Soalheiro Alvarinho has a bright lemon-yellow color. This wine is distinguished by its fresh and elegant aroma, immediately revealing, on the nose, the extraordinary complexity of the Alvarinho grape. The flavor of this wine, with intense tropical and mineral notes, is perfectly balanced with the acidity and its moderate alcohol content.

Food pairing: Our “Classic” has the elegance to be a perfect aperitif or to accompany seafood, grilled fish, white meat, aged cheese, smoked meat, as well as Asian and Mediterranean dishes.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place at a constant temperature. The bottle should be stored horizontally.

Serving: Serve at a temperature between 10 and 12ºC.

Winemaking: The grapes are harvested by hand. After pressing and before fermentation, the must is clarified at low temperature. The wine ferments in stainless steel and ages on fine lees before bottling. The winemaking of Soalheiro Alvarinho is aimed at obtaining a wine that highlights the quality of the grapes and allows for good evolution after bottling.
