“Produced only in exceptional years, UNIQO Grande Reserva is the result of selecting the best wines aged 20 months in French oak barrels” 

Grape varieties: 65% Tinta Roriz; 25% Touriga Nacional; 10% Touriga Franca

Winemaking:  Grapes harvested by hand into 16 kg boxes were carefully selected upon arrival at the winery, and cold maceration was adapted to each variety, being shorter for Tinta Roriz. Alcoholic fermentation occurred separately in truncated conical vats, with two daily "delestage" operations, and malolactic fermentation took place in barrels. 

Aging: After 20 months of aging in new French oak barrels and numerous tastings, the best barrels from each lot were selected for the final blend of this Grande Reserva.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep ruby

Aroma: Reveals a rich, complex aroma, dominated by black fruit, coffee, and spices.

Palate: On the palate, it is dense, with lively acidity and firm tannins, promising good aging potential.

Awards: 93 Points Wine Enthusiast | Concours Mondial Bruxelles Grand Gold Medal (2014 vintage)

Food Pairing: Enjoy with roasts, red meats, game, and intense cheeses. Serve between 16-18°C.
