The “Vale da Mata” Branco is an authentic wine that uniquely reveals the terroir of the region, marked by the freshness and minerality of the Atlantic Ocean.
Grape varieties: Arinto, Vital and Viosinho
Winemaker: Pedro Ribeiro and Catarina Vieira
Exam Notes
Color: Golden with greenish undertones.
Aroma: A fine, mineral, and complex aroma, resulting from fermentation and aging in barrels.
Palate: Good volume on the palate, pronounced acidity and minerality, which will allow it to evolve well in the bottle.
Pairing: To accompany oven-baked fish, cod, shellfish, sushi, and also soft sheep's cheese.
Serving: Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C.
Storage: Store lying down at a temperature of 15°C.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested in 12 kg boxes on September 14, 2021. In the winery, the grapes underwent selection on a vibrating sorting table. Fermentation took place in 500 L French oak barrels at a temperature of 16.5ºC.
Aging: Aged in 500L French oak barrels for a period of six months.
