Exam Notes

Color: Deep garnet

Aroma: Aroma of green tobacco leaf, minerality and spicy notes resulting from barrel aging.

Palate: Firm yet silky tannins. A structured, elegant wine with a precise taste. Long and persistent finish.

Pairing: Enjoy with lightly caramelized roasted red meat, or with black fruit jam. It also pairs well with a rich Portuguese cheese like "Azeitão" or a traditional "Roquefort".

Service: Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.

Storage: Store lying down at a temperature of 15°C.

Winemaking: Hand-harvested in 12 kg boxes on September 19, 2019. At the winery, the grapes underwent a further selection on a vibrating sorting table. Fermentation took place in French oak vats at a temperature of 24ºC.

Aging: Aged in 500L French oak barrels for 16 months. Bottle aging for 11 months. This wine was not stabilized before bottling to avoid affecting its aging potential, and may develop a slight sediment during bottle aging.
