Tasting Notes:

Colour: Intense ruby with violet hues.

Aroma: Mature aroma of red fruits well integrated with notes of spices and balsamic.

Palate: Balanced, round, fruit and spice flavours. Good structure of well-polished tannins.

Food Pairing: This Herdade de São Miguel 2022 wine pairs well with Mediterranean cuisine in general, pasta, lamb, white meats, and soft cheeses.

Serving: Serve at 16ºC.

Winemaking: Mechanical harvest during the night. Total destemming. Cold pre-fermentative maceration for 48h. Fermentation with controlled temperature (22-28ºC) in stainless steel vats. Post-fermentative maceration for 5 to 10 days. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats with French oak staves.

Ageing: 50% of the wine in 400 L French oak barrels for 6 months.

Alcohol Content: 14% vol.
